Jupiter gets surf year-round but winter is the prime season. Hurricane swells in August and September can deliver exceptional surf. Summer is warm, flat, and ideal for SUP and kayaking instead.

SUP is more of a workout and you get better views. Kayaks are easier for long distances and better if you’re bringing a kid or nervous about falling in. Both are excellent on Jupiter’s flat intracoastal.
Wide stable boards make SUP accessible even for true beginners. Most rental shops will spend 10 minutes on technique before sending you out. Kids from about 8 years old can handle a board in calm water.
Fishing — Offshore, Inshore & Family
Jupiter is widely considered one of the top sport fishing destinations in the US. The Gulf Stream runs close to shore here — blue water within 15 miles of the inlet.
