From family-friendly calm water to remote sea turtle nesting grounds — the complete local guide to every Jupiter beach.
Best Overall Beach
Jupiter’s most popular beach and for good reason. Free parking, pavilions, volleyball, a playground, and the Seabreeze Amphitheater. Get there before 9am on weekends.
Beach Services — Carlin Park
Your Beach Business Here
Prime placement on Jupiter’s most-visited beach guide page. Ideal for surf schools, equipment rentals, beach photography, food trucks, or any business serving the Carlin Park crowd. Thousands of visitors monthly, peak season December–April.
Jupiter, FL — A1A South
The heartbeat of Jupiter beach life. Wide, clean sand, reliable surf, and a full amenities package that makes it perfect for a full day out. The Seabreeze Amphitheater hosts free outdoor concerts on Friday evenings. Volleyball courts and a covered playground round it out for families. Locals know to arrive early — the main lot fills by 10am on weekends.
Best for Families & Young Kids
Calm, clear water tucked inside the inlet — the safest swim in Jupiter. Families with young kids almost always end up here. Small lot, so arrive early or you’re circling.
Jupiter Inlet — DuBois Road
Protected inside the Jupiter Inlet, DuBois has the calmest, clearest water of any beach in Jupiter. No real surf — it’s all gentle, shallow water perfect for toddlers and non-swimmers. The boat ramp makes it a busy fishing and boating hub too. The adjacent DuBois Pioneer Home is a small historic gem worth a quick look.
The rocks along the inlet wall at DuBois are one of Jupiter’s best-kept snorkeling spots. The current brings in clear Atlantic water and the rocks shelter juvenile fish, rays, and the occasional manatee. Bring a mask — the viz is best at high tide.
Classic Jupiter Beach Experience
The classic stretch of Jupiter beach — wide open, lifeguarded in season, and right along the A1A corridor. Pet-friendly with proper leash rules enforced.
A1A — Jupiter Beach Road
A long, beautiful stretch of open Atlantic beach running along Jupiter Beach Road. Metered parking keeps crowds manageable mid-week. The JW Marriott sits at the north end, adding a resort-level beach scene with umbrella rentals and a beach bar for non-guests willing to pay. Strong surf in winter — board riders know this stretch well.
Best for Snorkeling & Tide Pools
Rocky, beautiful, and quieter than the main strips. Tide pools, natural reef snorkeling, and a local crowd that appreciates a beach without the scene.
A1A North — Tequesta
Named for the natural rock and coral formations just offshore, Coral Cove rewards people who go looking. The tide pools along the rock ledges are a genuine wonder at low tide — full of small fish, crabs, and sea life. At high tide the snorkeling over the natural reef is as good as anything in Jupiter. Small lot, rarely crowded except on perfect weekend mornings.
Most Remote — Sea Turtle Nesting
Twenty minutes north and a world away. No development, no noise, just three miles of pristine beach that sea turtles have been nesting on for thousands of years.
Hobe Sound — A1A North
Part of the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge, this stretch of undeveloped barrier island beach is genuinely rare in South Florida. No hotels, no condos, no concession stands. Just three miles of wild beach used by loggerhead sea turtles as one of the highest-density nesting sites in the US. Go at dawn in summer for a chance to see nesting activity — or at dusk to watch hatchlings head to the water.
Loggerhead sea turtles nest at Hobe Sound from late May through August, with hatchlings emerging from July through October. During nesting season, the refuge offers guided turtle walks at night — book through the Hobe Sound Nature Center. One of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences in Florida.

Low-profile sand chairs that actually pack flat. The ones with a shoulder strap carry from the lot without the circus act.
Shop on Amazon →Florida sun is serious. A sand-anchor umbrella with UPF 50+ coverage is not optional — it’s survival gear.
Shop on Amazon →A soft-sided cooler backpack keeps drinks cold all day and doesn’t take up half your trunk. Worthwhile investment.
Shop on Amazon →Coral Cove and DuBois have living reef nearby. Mineral-based, reef-safe SPF 50+ is required around marine protected areas.
Shop on Amazon →A proper mask-and-snorkel set makes Coral Cove and DuBois dramatically better. Dry-top snorkels are worth the few extra dollars.
Shop on Amazon →Phone, keys, and wallet on a kayak or paddleboard need a dry bag. A 10L roll-top handles a full day on the water.
Shop on Amazon →Boards, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkel gear available at Carlin Park. No need to fly with equipment.
