DuBois Park: Jupiter's Hidden Family Beach Gem
If you're looking for a Jupiter beach that actually feels like a local spot instead of a tourist circus, DuBois Park is your answer. I've lived here for years, and this park remains one of my favorite places to bring family and friends when we want to escape the crowds at some of the busier beaches around town.
DuBois Park sits right along Jupiter's northern coastline and offers something a lot of other beaches don't: a genuine community feel. The park is smaller and more intimate than you'll find at Carlin Park or Juno Beach, which means you're usually not fighting for parking or sand space. On a typical afternoon, you'll see local families, couples, and multigenerational groups actually enjoying the water without the wall-to-wall tourists you sometimes encounter elsewhere.
What Makes It Family-Friendly
The shallow, calm waters here are genuinely great for kids. The beach slopes gradually, so younger swimmers can wade safely while parents relax nearby. The park has lifeguards during peak season, which gives everyone peace of mind. There are clean facilities, shaded picnic areas, and plenty of spots to set up for a full day without feeling cramped. The parking situation is manageable too—nothing like the chaos you sometimes deal with at other Jupiter beach access points.
The sand here is solid and clean, and the beach doesn't get overly rocky in most spots. I've brought my own kids here dozens of times and never felt like it was a hassle. Bring a cooler, some snacks, and you've got the makings of a perfect low-key Florida beach day.
More Than Just Swimming
While swimming is the main draw, DuBois Park is also a solid spot for other activities. The area is popular for fishing from shore, especially in the early morning hours. If you're into water sports, the calm conditions can be perfect for beginners, and you can explore the Jupiter FL watersports guide to see what options are available nearby.
The natural scenery is worth noting too. You get nice sunrise views and, depending on the season, decent opportunities for spotting sea turtles or other wildlife. It's a more low-key experience than some of the other spots along our coast.

Local tip: arrive early if you're coming on a weekend or during school holidays. DuBois Park is popular with locals who know the deal, so the best parking spots fill up by midday. Get there by 9 or 10 AM and you'll have your pick of the lot.
